Weekly Update Nov. 13- Nov. 19th

Nov. 1st - Nov. 6th

Happy Fall!  November is here and Thanksgiving is just around the corner.  Time to check on your visiting teaching sisters and see if they need help raking fall leaves or getting their homes ready for winter. 

• Last weeks lesson was taught by the Missionaries.  It was about opportunities to be an "On-line Missionary".  For more information please contact Elder Buckman and Elder Miner 850-1516. 
• Please join us this Saturady Nov. 5th for our monthly Relief Society Activity.  We will be meeting at the Billings Food Bank (2112 4th Ave N) from 9am-noon, to help put together Holiday Boxes for those in need.  This is a great opportunity to serve and we hope to see you there!
• Stake Conference is this weekend!  Sat. Nov. 5th @ 6pm is the adult dinner.  If you signed up to bring soup, salad or a dessert please have it there by 5:45pm.  The adult session will follow at 7pm.  Sun. Nov. 6th, conference will begin at 10am and is for everyone.
• Please remember to deliver the Fall Newsletter to your visiting teaching sisters.

Weekly Update Oct. 16th - Oct. 23rd

Last Sunday we were taught lesson #43 "Signs of the Second Coming" by Sister Vauna Fagetan.  This Sunday we will hear an April Conference Talk for our 4th Sunday lesson.

Don't forget..Wednesday, October 26that 6 pm is our Tri-Ward Trunk-or- Treat!!!  Come, decorate your car, pass out candy, have fun!!

Please remember what the bishop challenged us to do on Sunday.  Please pray for our ward members.  Pray that you my find someone that you can help or serve someway.  Look after your visiting teaching ladies!!!

Weekly Update Oct. 2nd- Oct. 9th

We hope everyone had a great General Conference!!

This week our lesson is #42, "The Gathering of the Hose of Isreal"  by Sister Robin Sears.

Don't forget....October 11 (Tuesday) is our ward Temple Night!!  We are the 6:20pm session.  We would love for everyone to be there with us!!

Weekly Update September 25- October 2nd

This week our lesson was "Desire" taught by Sister Jill Larson. 

Don't forget this Saturday and Sunday is General Conference!!  You can watch it on the BYU (?) channel, and it will also be broadcast at the Stake Center. 

We will not be having an activity in October...so instead, look forward to a SUPER Saturday in November.

Weekly Update Sept. 19th - 25th

This last weeks lesson was taught by Sister Robin Sears, "The Postmortal Spirit World".  This week, our lesson will be taught by Brother Croft from the April General Conference.

Weekly Update Sept. 4- Sept 10th

This last Sunday, our lesson was taught by Sister Susie Layton.  This weeks lesson will be Gospel Principles lesson #40 "Temple Work and Family History".

On Thursday, September 8th there is a Relief Society Temple Session at 10:00am.  There is a light lunch after the session in the cafeteria(?). 

Our Ward Temple Night is Tuesday, September 13th at 6:20pm.  We would love for everyone that can to please come!!!

Don't forget to do your visiting teaching!!  Check in on your sisters and let your supervisors know how they are doing!!

Weekly Update Aug. 28th- Sept. 4th

This past Sunday our lesson as taught by Sister Sue Jorgensen.  This Sundays lesson is "Never Suppress a Charitable Thought."  It will be taught by Sister Susie Layton.

Don't forget about our Relief Society Activity this Thursday.  It is at 6:30pm on Thursday night at the Stake Center.  Please bring a recipe made with produce from your garden!! 

The Young Women are having a Swap-n-Shop. If you can donate clothes that would work for the Young Women please contact Kim Kauer!

Weekly Update August 21- August 28th!

Last week, was lesson #39 "The Law of Chasity" taught by Sister Robin Sears.  This week will be our 4th Sunday lesson taught by our guest teacher.

Mark your calendars for Thursday September 1st.  Our Relief Society Activity will be at 6:30pm at the Stake Center. 

Don't forget to go through your closets...the Young Women are having a Swap-n- Shop, if you have anything that ould work for the Young Women, I'm sure they will appreciate it!!  Contact Kim Kauer for questions!

Weekly Update Aug. 14th- 21st!

This last Sunday we had lesson about Eternal Marriage taught by Sister Jody Becker.  This will be her last lesson becasue she is moving to Idaho.  We will surely miss you Jody and wish you well in your new adventure!!!  This week the lesson will be taught by Sister Robin Sears.  It will be lesson #39 "The Law of Chastity."

If you have a minute, give Jody Becker a call and see if she needs help...what a great way to serve our sisters in the ward!!

This Wednesday the 17th is our park playgroup.  It will be at 11am @ Rose Park.  We hope everyone can come!!

Keep in mind that on Saturday, August 20th , there is an Elder's Quorum Picnic.  It's at 4:00pm @ Lake Elmo.  A-L salads and M-Z desserts.

Weekly Update July 31st- Aug. 6th

Last week was the 5th Sunday.  We had a combined lesson with the Priesthood brethren.  Bishop Sears spoke about the "State of the Ward."  This week will be our Fast Sunday lesson taught by Sister Susan Jorgensen. 

Thank you to everyone who came to our Relief Society activity on Thursday.  It was such a great time!!  We appreciate everyones help and their comments as well.  A BIG Thank You to Michelle Croft, MerAnn Farnsworth, Wendy Dahle, and the rest of the Enrichment Committee for all their hard work!!

Weekly update July 17th-23rd

The summer is flying by!  We're hoping all is well and that you're enjoying the warm weather! 
Last weeks lesson was taught by Sister Robin Sears.  This weeks lesson will be taught by Sister Kathleen Walker.  It will be based on the April conference talk from C. Scott Grow titled "The Miracle of the Atonement", Sunday afternoon session. 
Please join us this Saturday, July 23rd for our ward picnic.  It will start at 4:30pm at Rose Park.  The ward will provide fried chicken.  Please bring a salad or dessert to share.  Also bring blankets or camp chairs for your family.  There will be games and fun for all.  We hope to see you there and invite a friend!
On Sunday July 24th there will be a Pioneer Day Concert broadcast through different media outlets.  You can find it on the BYU channel or via the internet at broadcast.lds.org.  It begins at 7pm.
Please take the opportunity to do your visiting teaching.  We love you and appreciate all your service!

This Tuesday, June 14th is our Ward Temple Night!  Please join us for our 6:20pm session.  We would love for everyone that can to make it!

We are going to start up the Park Playgroup again this summer.  Anyone is invited.  You don't have to have kids!  We will be making a schedule of the parks we will be at.  It will be every Wednesday at 11am.  Bring a lunch and come have fun!! 

Weekly Update May 29th- June 4th

This weeks lesson was taught by Brother Tonks and Bishop Sears.  It was on the Word of Wisdom.  Next weeks lesson will be taught by Sister Susie Layton entitled, "keeping faith and Testimony Strong During Adversity."

Don't forget that on Thursday (6/2) at 6:30pm we have our Relief Society Activity.  It will be at the church, nursery will be provided and spouses are invited!!!  We will be talking about temple covenants.  President and Sister Allen of the temple presidency will be speaking to us!

Weekly Update May 22- 28th

Thank You to everyone that participated in our Trek Fundraiser!!!

This week, we will be combining with the Priesthood Bretheren for our fifth sunday lesson.  The bishopric will be teaching us about the Word of Wisdom. 

This Thursday, June 2nd we will be having our Relief Society Meeting.  It will be at the church at 6:30pm.  Nursery will be provided!  Also, we are inviting the men to this as well, so feel free to bring your spouse along!  It will be called, "Cupcakes and Covenants".  President and Sister Allen (temple presidency) will be talking to us about our temple covenants and marriage.  We would love for everyone to come join us, even if your spouse can't make it!!

Mark your calendars for the Primary Activity on June 11th.  It will be at the church from 10am-12pm.  They will be talking about Missionary Work with activites, games, and speakers!!  We look forward to having all the children participate in this wonderful activity!!



Weekly Update May 15th- May 21st

Last week's lesson was taught by Sister Wynn Powell about Missionary Work.  This week will be a Teaching For Our Times lesson taught by a guest teacher. 

Please remember that this weekend is our Ward Youth Trek Fundraiser.  It will be from 3pm-7pm at the Walker's home (4221 Rimrock).  There is a suggested donation as admission into the BBQ.  Come eat and enjoy the ward family while helping the youth raise money to participate in this wonderful opportunity.  Family-$30, Couples- $20, and Single person- $10.  Extra donations are welcome!

Saturday, May 28th is our Stake Temple Day.  Please feel free to come to worship at the temple this day with our stake. 

Tuesday, May 31st is our Relief Society Temple Session.  6:20pm session.

Mark your calendars for our Relief Society Meeting on Tuesday, June 2nd at 6:30pm at the church.    Nursery will be provided.   Details to follow.

Weekly Update May 8th- May 14th

This week's lesson is lesson # 33 "Missionary Work".  It will be taught by Sister Wynn Powell.  

Don't forget about the Youth Trek Fundraiser BBQ at the Walker's house.  It will be on Saturday, May 21st at 3:00.  It is a fundraiser for the youth to go on the pioneer trek to Martin's Cove.  The suggested donation is $10- single person, $20- couple, and $30- family. If you are able and would like to donate more, those donations will be greatly appreciated!!

Because the temple is closed for cleaning..we will not be having Ward Temple Night this month.

This Saturday the 16th, we will be having a baby shower for Jessica Angel.  It will be an open house

from 1-3pm.  It is at Robin Sear's house (3605 Colin)



Weekly Update March 27- April 3

Last weeks lesson was taught by Brother Steve Kauer.  It was about our prophets.  This week we will not meet as a ward, as it is General Conference Weekend.  The Conference will also be broadcast at the Stake Center at 10am and 2pm on Saturday and Sunday. 

The next time we meet as a ward (April 10th), will be our Fast Sunday. 

Tuesday, April 12th is our Ward Temple Night.  Our session is as 6:20pm, we hope everyone can make it!!



Weekly Update Mar. 13th- 20th

Don't forget this week is Ward Conference.  We will be meeting together with the Priesthood bretheren with a combined lesson taught by President Williams. 

Don't forget that tomorrow and Friday (March 18-19) is the stake Hearts and Hands day!!  We would love all the help we can get!!  Thanks to everyone who has donated items as well as time and talents!!

Sunday, right after church, we will be having a Linger Longer Ward Dinner.  The ward will be providing the main course, so please bring a dessert or salad to share (no need for sign ups).  

Our Stake Relief Society Temple Night is planned for March 29th at 6:20pm. 

Also, we are half way through the month, don't forget to check in with your visiting teaching sisters!!!

Weekly Update Feb. 27- March 6th

Last week's RS lesson was taught by Sister Juanita Flowers, this week we will hear from Sister Sue Jorgensen entitled, " The Sacrament and You." 

This Thursday, March 3rd, at 6:30pm at the church, we will be having our RS Activity, "Relief Society Around the World".  We will learn about the programs in other countries as well as taste food from these countries!!  Nursery is provided.  We would love to see everyone there!

This Friday, March 4th , there is a baby shower for Sister Michelle Croft and her daughter Julia.  It will be held at Robin Sear's house (3605 Colin Dr.) from 6-8 pm.

Tuesday, March 8th at 6:20pm, is our Ward Temple Night.  We would love for everyone to join our ward family in the temple!

Next Sunday (3/13) is our Stake Conference.  It will be held at the Stake Center at 10am.

Keep in mind that our Hearts and Hands is coming up.  If you signed up for something, or would like to donate some items, you can bring them to church or contact Pat Hess.

Weekly Update Feb. 20- Feb. 26th

Thank You to everyone who came to our Hearts and Hands Activity.  What a great way for all of us to be apart of such a great service project. 

Last Sunday's lesson was " "Service" by Sister Wynn Powell.  This Sunday's lesson will be "Temple Mirrors of Eternity: A Testimony of Family" taught by Sister Juanita Flowers.

This thursday the Mia Maids are having a baby shower for Sister Jill Clemow and her baby Triston.  It is Feb. 24 from 6:00- 8:00pm at 3702 Donna Drive.  If you have any question, please contact Hallee Cheney 697-0402.

Please join us on Thursday, March 3rd for our "Relief Society Around the World", we will tasting dishes and learning about the Relief Society's in other countries.  What a fun and educational activity!  It will be at 6:30pm at the church.  Nursery will be provided.

There will also be a baby shower for Michelle Croft and her daughter Julia.  It will be at Robin Sear's house (3605 Colin Dr.) on March 4,  from 6:00-8:00pm.

We hope everyone was able to attend the temple last night.  If not, you were missed and we hope you can make it next time.  Last weeks lesson was taught by Sister Susie Layton about Using Christ's Atonement.  This week's lesson will be taught by SIster Jody Becker.  It will be the Gosel Principles Lesson #27- Work and Personal Responbility. 

Our Stake Temple Day is coming up on Saturday Feb. 19th.  We hope everyone can get a chance to attend that day.

Relief Society Weekly Update Jan. 23- Jan. 29

We hope everyone is having a good week!  Congratulations to Sister Michelle Croft on the birth of her baby girl Julia today!!  Last Sunday's lesson was taught by Sister Jessica Angel.  This week's lesson is the fifth Sunday lesson combined with the Priesthood brethren. 

Don't forget that it is almost the end of the month...don't  forget to get your visiting teaching done and report it to your supervisor.

Relief Society Weekl Update Jan. 16- Jan. 22

This last week's lesson was taught by Sister Wynn Powelll, entitled "Sacrifices".  This week's lesson will be taught by Sister Jessica Angell, entitled, " Reflections on a Consecrated Life." 

Our Ward Conference has been rescheduled for Mar. 20th .

Don't forget that it is getting to be close to the end of the month.  There are still a few days left this month to check in your sisters and report it to your VT supervisors.

Congratulations to Sisters Jill Clemow and Sister Alison Mukadam on the births of their beautiful baby boys!!  Triston Robert Clemow and Asher Mukadam- the newest members of the ward!

Weekly Update Jan. 9th-15th!

Last weeks lesson was entitled, "Fasting" taught by Sister Jody Becker.  This weeks lesson is lesson number 26- Sacrifice, taught by Sister Wynn Powell. 

Sister Teresa Pocock was called as the Primary Secratary. You will be missed in Relief Society, but enjoy your new calling! 

Wednesday night at 5:00pm is Activity Days at the church.

Thursday (1/13) there is a Stake Temple Session at 10 am.  What a great time to get a session in, especially if you were not able to attend tonight!

Relief Society Update Jan. 2-Jan 8th!

Don't forget this Thursday we are having a baby shower for Alison Mukadam!!  It will be an open house from 6:30-8:30pm at Holly Thompson's house (140 Burlington).  She is having a boy and we would for everyone to come and celebrate with her!!

We are excited to welcome Sister Patsy Card and her husband to our ward!!  We look forward to getting to know her better!

Last Sunday's lesson was taught by Sister Sarah Jensen entitled, " Relight the Fire of Personal Conversion."  This week's lesson will be from the Gospel Principles Manual lesson #25- Fasting.

We are excited to annouce that Sister Jody Becker was called as one of our Relief Society teachers!!   Sister Pat Hess was called as a Primary Teacher.  You will be missed in Relief Society and we wish you the best in your new calling, Pat!
